The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has already reached a quality regarding the Borgata Winter Poker Open chips that are counterfeit at last. The competition was suspended on January 18th, and afterwards cancelled, following the revelation that the poker that is fake had been introduced.
The DGE certainly had their work cut out in reaching an equitable solution to a very sticky problem: whenever play was stopped, there were 27 players left of 4,824 initial entrants in the $500 + 60 NLH Big Stack event, which had a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million. The lawsuit claimed that players must be liable to damages in addition to refunds. At the time of writing, it is not known whether Causi’s customer is satisfied with the settlement that is current.
Meanwhile, Lusardi stays in jail in brand New Jersey on $300,000 relationship, waiting for trial. He was arrested after attempting to flush 2.7 million in fake tournament potato chips down the toilet of his college accommodation at the nearby Harrah’s Resort. This resulted in the pipes becoming clogged, which caused water to drip on to the available rooms of guests on the floor below. He is also faced with running a large-scale pirate DVD operation from his North Carolina home that allegedly grossed over $1 million.
The Borgata has since introduced new high-tech poker potato chips that are more intricately designed, making them harder to counterfeit, and that can be checked under ultraviolet light.

It appears that every time an obstacle emerges for starters of the proposed Massachusetts casino plans, someone or something measures up to provide a solution. So when there were questions about that would benefit from the sale of land Wynn Resorts would use to host their Everett casino, perhaps we should have expected a resolution to too present itself before long.
In this instance, the town of Everett itself may eventually get the property before selling it to Wynn, sidestepping the murky situation that currently surrounds the land sale. The town would use their power of eminent domain to buy the land also seven other properties in the area for a price that is total of $41 million. The land required for the casino could then be offered to Wynn from the city.
According to Mayor Carlo DeMaria, this move wouldn’t be solely for the benefit of Steve Wynn and the prospective casino resort he really wants to build. Rather, this is a plan which was in development before anyone considered bringing gambling to the city.
‘This area, when you are well aware, is important to your future success regarding the entire city and will serve as a gateway to the entire region,’ DeMaria penned in a letter to Everett city councilors final week. ‘My administration is committed to realizing the potential that is extraordinary of area and the city as being a whole.’
While the city may be willing to buy the land to be able to develop it, that wasn’t the proposal that is original was banking on. They decided to purchase the land for $35 million, presuming that the Massachusetts Gaming Commission was to approve their casino plan.

The question of whether or not the populous city of Everett can get around this issue by using eminent domain could be tricky. The city can only take private land if doing so serves a public purpose under state law. Mayor DeMaria claims the land is good for redevelopment and that the populous city would spend tens of millions to upgrade the location after the purchase.
But not everyone is convinced that anyone would develop the area if Wynn doesn’t obtain the casino permit. City Council president Michael Marchese claims he appears at the proposition as nothing less than a favor to Wynn.
‘We haven’t had a developer here in over 20 years,’ Marchese said. ‘We only know just what we hear, and what we hear we don’t trust.’

It’s not hard to imagine so just how profitable a massive casino placed in Chicago could become. It’s been a dream of many for years now, though never one which includes come anywhere near fruition. Now, one lawmaker has placed two proposals for such a casino before an Illinois House committee though the probability of either ultimately passing into law are slim at best.
Representative Bob Rita (D-Blue Island) has put together two versions of the plan that will bring casino gambling to Chicago. In the very first version, designed to appease as many interest groups as you are able to, five new gambling enterprises would be authorized. That would include a Chicago casino with up to 4,000 games, along with smaller casinos in Rockford, Danville, Lake County and another suburb to the south of Chicago. It could also give racetracks the best to host a number that is varying of machines, up to 600 for locations in Cook County.
But that is not the plan that received the attention of the Illinois home. It’s an alternative Rita-backed plan one that would accept just a single casino with up to 10,000 games in Chicago that promised to cause plenty of heated arguments on both sides of the issue.
Rita is hoping that by talking to lawmakers, they can convince them that a huge Chicago casino will benefit the whole state. His plan would see half of all revenues from the proposed casino fund projects throughout the state.
‘It’s part of the process of moving this ahead,’ Rita stated before the hearing. ‘ We have never ever had the full in-depth conversation or a hearing of a Chicago-only choice.’
The plan that is single-venue popular with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, which said during the hearing that they would like a casino in the central part of downtown Chicago. Governor Pat Quinn in addition has suggested that this form of the bill is more likely to earn his support than past bills that he has vetoed.
But politicians through the rest of the continuing state are predictably suspicious of any plan that would expand gambling just within the city.
‘The purpose [of gambling expansion] would be to help communities that are economically casinopokies777.com distressed’ said state Representative Chad Hays (R-Catlin). ‘ I would recommend that downstate taking the leftover crumbs from Chicago is really a laughable assertion that no downstater would bite on.’
Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhauer also weighed in against A chicago-only plan.
‘The opportunity to add downstate job creation and revenue growth far outweighs the benefits of A chicago-only permit,’ said Eisenhauer, who also planned to attend the hearings.
Representatives from social groups spoke at the hearings to state that they were focused on the impact a massive casino would have on the state. Meanwhile, other casinos stressed that a large location in Chicago would hurt their businesses. And the horse industry that is racing both the single-casino and broader expansion plans, as they want much more slots available at their tracks.
With so opposition that is much across the state, numerous lawmakers feel that just a wider gambling bill has any chance of success.
